Marble talks to me! It is like words to the writer or oil to the painter; it offers me a wide range of possibilities; playing with shape, color and texture, I define my own perception of the world in a contemporary piece of art. A modern expression of art inspires me to create visual changes in our surroundings! Why not believe than man can change? Are we harder than stone?
Seemingly rigid and harsh in its unpredictable natural stage, marble becomes an object defined by few clean lines, breaking the stigma of been a heavy and soundless stone, to become a natural source of expression, greatly capable to inspire other minds. The combination of contrasting materials like plastic and metal seem to be contradictory at first, but after the process, they allow me the artistic transformation. My purpose is to simplify preconceived ideas of what is around us; it can achieve far-reaching effects on others, with courageous minds searching for a change.
